Parc Tecnològic de Tarragona

The Tarragona Science & Technology Park’s mission is to create an innovative environment oriented to foster regional and enterprise competitiveness in areas on which the park is focused: the chemical and related sectors and socio-cultural products and services. The Tarragona Science & Technology Park is located by the Rovira i Virgili University science-tech campus. The university campus together with the Park will cover an area of 500.000 m2. In addition, the socio-cultural products and services will count on the development of an area of 70.000 m2, within the framework of the project La Savinosa, located at Tarragona’s city coast. The project includes cultural activities to be carried out in several facilities. The Tarragona Science & Technology Park will be operating in 2007. Together with the Rovira i Virgili science-tech campus, has the capacity to develop, in the forthcoming years, into one of the most renamed clusters of chemical innovation in Europe. Moreover, the Park will become an international reference for the development of socio-cultural products and services related to heritage valorisation and the progress of the Euro-Mediterranean socio-cultural area.
